О месте: Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn is a wide bay of soft, smooth white sand in the far south of Phuket, tucked between green hills with a couple of tiny islands offshore. The protected bay is a favourite anchorage for sailing boats and yachts from November to April, and the beach has long been the weekend choice of expats and locals.
The land behind the sand is protected by law, so nothing can be built on it; tall casuarinas cover it instead. Across a small street, about a hundred metres from the water, a line of small Thai restaurants, massage shops and fruit vendors serves the beach. Behind them lies Nai Harn Lake, with a walking path, paddle boats and the colourful Wat Nai Harn between the lake and the beach.
The sea is clear and calm for most of the high season. From May to October strong winds and waves bring surfers and kite surfers, and the lifeguards post flags showing when you can swim.

One of the nicest beaches in the south of Phuket: soft white sand under tall casuarinas on protected land where nothing can be built, clear water in the high season, green hills, small islands and yachts at anchor. It is held back by crowds in December and January and a rough sea from May to October.

Nothing built on the beach
The land behind the sand is protected by law and covered by tall casuarinas, so the bay looks much as it did in the 1990s.
Clear, calm high-season water
From November to April the water is clear and blue, with yachts and sailing boats anchored in the bay.

A line of small restaurants across the street serves classic Thai dishes at reasonable prices, with illustrated menus out front.
A lake with paddle boats
Behind the beach, Nai Harn Lake has a walking path and paddle boats that children love, with Wat Nai Harn next to it.

Nai Harn is at the far southern tip of Phuket: about 48 km and an hour's drive from the airport, 17 km from Phuket Town and 20 km from Patong.
- На машине. About an hour from the airport. A car or scooter is easiest for the southern loop of Nai Harn, Promthep Cape, Ya Nui and Rawai.
- Grab и такси. From Patong, 40 to 50 minutes by taxi or Grab, roughly 500 to 700 THB one way.

- Местный автобус. Local buses and tuk-tuks run to the area.
