Coqoon is the spa of The Slate, an award-winning design resort at Nai Yang Beach in the north of Phuket. Its treatment rooms sit inside giant round thatched structures shaped like cocoons, in a quiet garden where birdsong carries in. The menu mixes Thai massage, herbal compresses, oil rituals, scrubs and long packages, priced at the top of the island's range. Visitors who are not staying may book, prepayment is usual, and its closeness to the airport makes it a natural last stop before a flight.
