Alanna Wellness & Spa is a standalone day spa on Lagoon Road in the Laguna estate at Bang Tao, about a kilometre inland and not part of a hotel. Its draw is the Thermal Journey, a six-stage hot and cold circuit — salt sauna, aromatic steam, onsen bath, jet pool, cold plunge and a lounge — sold on its own at 399 baht for two hours. Besides the circuit there are massages from 1,400 baht an hour, facials, rituals, a day retreat, a nail spa, a children's menu and a healthy cafe. Open daily, with parking on site.

Thai, aromatherapy, deep-tissue, sports-recovery, jet-lag, hot-stone and lymphatic massage, foot reflexology, a pregnancy massage, facials, chakra balancing, scrubs, wraps, bath rituals and a day retreat.

An hour of traditional Thai massage, 1,400 baht, is the cheapest treatment; the signature treatments reach 4,500 baht. A 10% service charge and tax are added.

A children's menu (Little Sunshine): a 45-minute massage or a 30-minute facial at 1,350 baht each; a Family Wellness Escape puts one adult and one child together for an hour.

A pain management and kinesiotherapy studio run with an outside partner, a nail spa, a workshop studio for sound healing and meditation, a shop and a healthy-food cafe.
