About San Chao Mae Ya Nang (Sam San Shrine)
A small Chinese shrine on Krabi Road in Phuket Town, founded in 1853 when Chinese families settling for the tin mines brought their own gods with them. Red pillars, painted walls and candlelit statues fill its modest hall, which comes alive during the Vegetarian Festival.
