About Kio Thian Keng Shrine (Saphan Hin)
A Chinese shrine on the Saphan Hin waterfront, open to anyone, any day, for free. On the last evening of the Vegetarian Festival devotees from every shrine on the island walk here and the gods are sent off from its shore. A tall statue carved in Beijing has stood here since 2011.
