About Jui Tui Shrine

A busy Chinese shrine on the edge of the Old Town, rebuilt here after a fire in 1907 destroyed the town's earlier shrine on Soi Romanee. It is free to enter and comes alive during the Phuket Vegetarian Festival each October, with processions, opera on its small stage and firecrackers.
