About Xi Mian Chinese Noodles
A Sichuan noodle shop a few steps up Soi Romanee from Thalang Road — Chinese noodles rather than the Hokkien kind the island is known for. The menu board outside shows a photo of every dish, so ordering is easy even for a first taste of Sichuan food. Inside, the ceiling is a canopy of pink and cream paper parasols and red lanterns, much photographed before the food arrives. No bookings; it fills up in the evening, and service is quick.
