VELA Phuket Old Town

Restaurant · Talat Yai

A three-floor shopping and dining building on the corner of Yaowarat Road and Phang Nga Road in Phuket Town, in Sino-Portuguese shophouse style with a modern design; "vela" means "time" in Thai, hence its hourglass symbol. The Starbucks on the corner is one of its smallest units.

About VELA Phuket Old Town

A new shopping and dining building on an Old Town corner that most passers-by take for a Starbucks. Upstairs, Pintxo serves Basque-style tapas on a terrace looking down over Yaowarat Road, a tiny omakase counter called Bastosai hides at the back, and the Bebop jazz bar next door fills the floor after dark; an ice cream shop downstairs opens onto the Shrine of Serene Light.
