A breakfast institution in Phuket Town: for seventy years this tiny halal shop on Thep Krasattri Road, at the entrance of the Thalang Road Sunday Walking Street, has turned out roti from a huge charcoal pan, shaped, fried and on the plate in moments — soft, crisp and not oily. Eat them with tender beef or chicken curry, or have the banana-and-egg roti, sweet without added sugar. Its few tables fill early. Cheap, quick and a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand. Open daily 07:00–12:00.
