Arva at Amanpuri

Arva is the Italian restaurant of Amanpuri, set in a wooden house of traditional Thai design between the resort's famous black pool and Pansea Beach. Its walls are glass, so the room looks through tall coconut palms to the sea. The name is Latin for "harvest": the kitchen cooks with fish from local waters, produce from local farmers and herbs from the hotel garden, and the menu runs from homemade pasta and risotto to fish and meat. Prices are high, and the resort takes outside guests at its restaurants.
