Khao Lak's biggest market, on the main road in Bang Niang opposite the Police Boat 813 memorial: a couple of hundred stalls of grilled ribs, moo ping, seafood, roti and Thai sweets, cheap shakes and cocktails, then clothes, souvenirs and watches. It opens only on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 2 pm to 10 pm, and is best between 6 and 8 pm. Bring cash.
