About Baba Mansion

An old house on Yaowarat Road, long known to locals as the Kanok Kwan House after the kindergarten that filled it for thirty years, and later the Endless Summer coffee shop. As Baba Mansion it runs in two modes. By day Gula Café serves pandan lattes and Nyonya kueh in tiled rooms — drop in, no booking — with a corner for trying on Baba-Nyonya dress. By night it becomes Baba Lee, a booked Peranakan dinner of several courses from 19:00, at about 4,800 THB a head. Open Thursday to Monday.
