About Wat Thep Kasattri (Wat Ban Don)

A quiet forest temple at Ban Don that tradition calls Phuket's oldest, near where the governor of Thalang once lived — the uncle of the two heroines who held off the Burmese. Under tall trees stand a great gold Buddha, a tiled ordination hall of 1871 with a reclining Buddha, and bronze statues of the sisters. Free to enter.
