About San Chao Jeng Ong
A shrine hidden down a lane across from Phuket's main hospital, where relatives slip over between visiting hours to light incense for someone inside. Its side altars are packed several tiers deep with figures of every size, and it hosts three of the Vegetarian Festival's main rites.
