About Thanoon Seafood

A seafood restaurant on a small, breezy bay right beside the Sarasin Bridge, just across the strait from Phuket on the Phang Nga side. Guests sit in two large, simply decorated salas by the beach, with the open sea on one side and the bridge on the other — at its best at sunset. Beside the usual live tank of crabs, prawns and lobsters, the kitchen serves local dishes few restaurants offer: deep-fried sea cicadas, sandfish eaten whole, horseshoe crab eggs, mantis shrimps and Thai oysters with garlic and chilli. Prices are moderate.
