About O Tao Bang Niao
An evening street food shop on Phuket Road, run by the same family since 1982 and known for one dish: o-tao, the Phuket stir-fry of seafood and battered taro. Fried over charcoal, it comes out soft, gooey and crisp at once with a smoky edge. The crispy seafood omelette is the other order. Cheap and listed in the MICHELIN Guide; open daily 16:00–23:00.
