About Mee Ton Poe

Once a tiny shop at the clock circle where locals and expats came for a cheap bowl of yellow Hokkien noodles, Mee Ton Poe became famous after a MICHELIN listing in 2021 and now draws far more visitors than locals. The noodles come in a thick gravy, unlike the soup next door at Som Chit. Beside it stands a Chinese shrine, and across the street the shell of what was once the island's only department store. Branches in Kathu and on the airport road.
