About Mee Ko Lan
A noodle shop with a long family story: a Cantonese immigrant sold its noodles for one baht a bowl in the tin-mining years, and when he went home to China in 1945 his pupil Ko Lan carried on; his children run it today, and Phuket families have eaten here for generations. The noodles are made by hand before dawn each day, blanched, then seared in a hot pan for a smoky edge, and served with char siu from the family recipe.
