A barefoot sort of beach restaurant on Khao Khad beach, Cape Panwa: bamboo and straw, plastic chairs on the sand and a reggae bar, looking over anchored yachts to the hills — Phuket before the big resorts. The Thai classics come generous and at local prices, and the seafood is fresh; garlic prawns are the regulars' pick. Monday evenings bring a fire show around 7:30 pm.
