About Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary

A protected forest of about 23 km² in the north-east of the island, rising to 442 metres. Easy paths lead to the Ton Sai and Bang Pae waterfalls, longer trails cross the hills, and the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project works at its edge. It opens 8 am to 5 pm; a park fee applies.
