Drawing Room Coffee and Gallery

Not a trendy café: a converted row of garages on Phang Nga Road whose graffiti-covered walls look more like an artist's studio than a coffee shop. Through the open shutters is something like a collector's living room — mismatched furniture, vintage armchairs, paintings, pottery, old toys, Buddha statues next to globes — with the coffee counter tucked among it all. Some of the art, by local artists, is for sale. People come for the atmosphere as much as the coffee, which is good; nobody here is in a hurry.
