    About Bang Jo

Bang Jo is one of the eight villages of Si Sunthon, the subdistrict in the middle of Phuket's Thalang district: the council's village Moo 4, Ban Bang Jo. Our area is a strip of about 1.5 km² on the west side of Thep Krasattri Road, the island's main road between Phuket Town and the airport, 2 to 3 km north-west of the Heroines Monument and about 3 km south of Thalang town.

It is a working village rather than a place to visit: houses and small shops along the road, a fresh market and a walk-in clinic, with new housing estates on the lanes behind. Since the early 2020s several small pool-villa projects have gone up on the lanes behind the road, one of them finished in January 2026.

Everything a household needs is a few minutes away along Thep Krasattri Road: home-improvement stores, Lotus's and Makro in Thalang town, the public hospital, and Robinson's mall at the Heroines Monument. The beaches of Bang Tao and Laguna are about 15 minutes west by car.

    The monsoon months

April to November is the rainy season, with the south-west monsoon: heavy showers, and low roads in Thalang can flood after a downpour.
