About Somtam Puma 2
A garden of brightly painted wooden huts under big trees on a bend in Kathu, roughly opposite the pawnshop, where locals come for som tam. Each hut has a length of bamboo hanging by the table that you knock to call the staff. The food is properly local and quick, crab som tam the speciality, and two people eat well for a few hundred baht. The trees keep it shaded through the afternoon and the lamps come on as it cools in the evening. Open 11:00–22:00, closed on the 26th and 27th of each month.
