About Laem Hin Seafood

One of the island's best-loved local seafood restaurants: a vast wooden terrace and pier built over the sea at Laem Hin, on the east coast opposite Ko Maphrao. The seafood is very fresh and the menu runs far beyond it into southern Thai cooking, so it suits first-timers and old hands alike. It fills up on weekday evenings and even more at weekends; arrive around 18:00 for a quiet, breezy table on the pier. There is plenty of parking, and from the jetty next door longtails cross to the floating restaurants offshore. Open daily 10:00–22:00.
