About Ka Moo Boran

A plain shop in Kathu that has cooked one thing for years and does it properly: pork leg braised until it slides off the bone. Have it over rice with crisp pork belly, greens, pickled mustard and a bowl of clear soup — and use the dark vinegar-chilli dip — or in a sharp tom yum noodle soup on a hot afternoon. It held a Bib Gourmand from 2022; lunch for two still costs only a few hundred baht. Go early: it closes in the late afternoon.
