About A Blanket & A Pillow

A barefoot hideaway of bamboo terraces stepping down a hillside above the sea in northern Kata, with low Thai tables, bean bags and the sound of the waves. The menu is short and cheap — Thai "Lunch Boxes" of rice and curries in lacquer boxes from 80 baht, spaghetti, a cocktail — and the best hour is the late afternoon before it closes at 7.30 pm. Mind the uneven stairs in the rain; closed on Mondays.
