About Rawai Pier
A long concrete pier on Rawai's shore at the southern tip of Phuket, the local way out to the southern islands. Longtail boats wait along the waterfront: Koh Bon is about fifteen minutes away, Coral Island fifteen to twenty, Racha Island thirty to forty-five, and Koh Lone and Maiton Island are within reach too. Prices are not fixed: they are agreed with the driver, which makes it a less packaged alternative to the tours from Chalong. Dive boats use the pier, and seafood restaurants line the road towards Rawai Seafood Market.
