About Red Mountain Golf Club

Phuket's most talked-about golf course, laid out in 2007 over an old tin mine in Kathu, between Patong and Phuket Town. The mine left steep slopes, bare red rock and pockets of jungle, so the 18 holes climb and drop more than anywhere else on the island; the par-3 17th is played from a tee about 50 m above its green. It is also the most expensive round: about 5,500–6,500 THB in high season with the compulsory cart, plus a caddie. Loch Palm is its easier neighbour.
