About Phuket Country Club
One of the island's first golf clubs, opened in the 1980s on Vichitsongkram Road in Kathu, close to Patong, and still its cheapest 18-hole round at about 2,500–3,000 THB. The course is short and forgiving, mixing open rolling holes with flat stretches and a few through jungle, which suits high handicappers and anyone after an easy social round. Expats and Thai golfers play here week in, week out, so the atmosphere is local rather than resort. Carts are optional; a caddie is required.
