Why this one and not the flat below it
A corner unit on the sixth floor — the only 78 m² layout in Azura with windows on two sides, so both bedrooms get morning light and the living room keeps the sea line above the Laguna treetops. Bang Tao itself is the flat, walkable end of the west coast: beach clubs and Boat Avenue on foot, no hill road between you and dinner.
About this unit
Unit 612 sits on the sixth of eight floors in Building A, on the corner where the block turns towards the pool. Two aspects instead of one is the whole point of this layout: the living room and the master bedroom face west over the Laguna golf course towards the sea line, and the second bedroom faces north into the planted courtyard, which stays cool until late morning.
The living room, kitchen and dining table share one 34 m² room with a full-width sliding wall onto a 9 m² balcony. The kitchen is a real one — induction hob, oven, dishwasher, a full-height fridge — not the single-hob kitchenette most condos of this size are given. A desk sits in the living room under the north window, with the fibre router beside it.
Both bedrooms are en-suite. The master takes a king bed, blackout curtains and a walk-in wardrobe; the second takes twins that can be joined into a king and has the guest bathroom directly across the hall. Air conditioning is in every room, with ceiling fans over both beds for the nights when you would rather not run it.
Azura was completed in 2024 and still reads as new: the pool tiling, the lobby and the lifts have had two years of use rather than ten. The building is managed on site, which matters more than it sounds — the difference between a maintenance request answered the same day and one answered when someone drives over from Phuket Town.
Bang Tao is the flat end of the west coast. The beach is 550 m along a made footpath, Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket are five minutes by car, and the airport is 25 minutes without going near Patong. It is the part of the island people choose when they intend to stay for a season rather than a week.

Bang Tao
Bang Tao is the six-kilometre bay on the north-west coast, built around the Laguna estate and the strip of beach clubs at its south end. It is flat, which is rare on this island: you can walk to the sand, to a supermarket and to dinner without meeting a hill. Long-stay renters choose it for the schools and the airport road; short-stay guests choose it for the beach clubs and for not being in Patong.

Renting in Thailand as a foreigner
Yes. There is no restriction on a foreigner renting residential property in Thailand, on any visa, including a tourist visa. The restrictions that exist are on owning land, not on renting.
